The Community Futures Development Corporation (CFDC) of Revelstoke is a non-profit community based agency assisting entrepreneurs with self employment and business development. The principal resource for the corporation is a revolving loan fund. The corporation has successfully served individual clients and the community at large since 1987. Western Economic Diversification and Human Resource Skills Development Canada provide funding for operations.

The corporation delivers a Small Business Loan Program and the Self Employment Benefit Program to assist clients with the necessary advice, direction, information and financing to help start, purchase, strengthen or expand businesses.

Community economic development programs and projects are facilitated and initiated to stimulate economic development and diversification (see community projects for examples).
