Believe BC Campaign
Revelstoke Community Futures is participating in a provincial advertising campaign to raise awareness of the impact of Community Futures activity in our communities. Watch for articles on Wednesdays in the Vancouver Sun and Province. Rural communities in this province have wonderful success stories that were made possible with the assistance of the Community Futures Program.

US Softwood Lumber Tariffs
So far, Revelstoke has managed to avoid job losses in sawmills and logging operations.. The Revelstoke CFDC is under contract to Western Economic Diversification Canada to monitor our community for impacts resulting from the US imposed tariffs. Anyone having information regarding job losses that can be directly attributed to the US Softwood Lumber Tariffs, please contact Debra Wozniak at 837-5345.

Volunteering
Most community initiatives are a result of the hard work and dedication of volunteers. Their contributions of time, energy, knowledge and financial resources help improve the quality of our lives and the health of our community. Revelstoke is increasingly being challenged to find new ways to educate and protect our citizens, provide health care and social services, safeguard the environment and invest in arts and culture. Unfortunately many local organizations are not only experiencing cutbacks in government funding but also realizing an increasing need for volunteers. Building community capacity to meet these challenges is a priority of the Revelstoke CF. We are initiating a project to identify gaps and needs in the volunteer sector and find ways to fulfill the growing need for volunteers.
