BCRIC Shares
Your Foundation’s campaign to collect and redeem old BCRIC shares
continues. The publicity on CBC in the recent past has even seen some
shares mailed in from outside the community. If you still have yours
please dig them out and we will be happy to receive them.
Vancouver Foundation Grants
We are just $4,000 short of the $50,000 needed to meet the Vancouver
Foundation’s [VF] LEAD grant program. That additional $4,000 in
donations would attract $5,000 from the VF. We have already received
$5,000 from the VF as part of their 2002–03 Lead program. We are
grateful for the ongoing VF support of small Foundations in the
province.
Douglas A. Weir Memorial Fund
The Douglas A. Weir Memorial Fund has exceeded $32,000 in donations – a
fitting tribute to Doug who was so key to the Economic Development of
Revelstoke and made important and valued contributions to many other
aspects of community life.
Scholarship Endowments
Our thrust to improve the scholarship complement at RSS now sees over
$100,000 of scholarship endowment under your Foundation’s management and
$53,000 of that is new money. Thank you to all who have risen to these
challenges.
