New Chair elected by Board of Directors:
Kevin Lavelle, an active director of the Foundation, was appointed Chair at the June Board of Directors meeting. Kevin replaces retiring Chair Jon Healey who will continue on as a director for the Foundation.

Campbell Challenge:
Earl Campbell has once again challenged donors to the Foundation to match his family’s $4,500 donation by December 31. These donations will be designated to a Scholarship Fund for local students pursuing post secondary education in academic, vocational or trades training.

Vancouver Foundation Challenge:
If the Revelstoke Community Foundation is successful in raising $50,000 in new community funds for the 12 month period ending September 2003, it will be eligible for a $5,000 grant from the Vancouver Foundation to fund local capacity building projects. We have already surpassed $40,000 in new donations and look forward to completing the challenge.
