New Chair Elected by Board of Directors:

Kevin Lavelle, an active director of the Foundation, was appointed Chair at the June Board of Directors meeting. Kevin replaces retiring Chair, Jon Healey, who will continue on as a director for the Foundation.

Campbell Challenge:

Earl Campbell has once again challenged donors to the Foundation to match his family’s $4,500 donation by December 31. These donations will be designated to a Scholarship Fund for local students pursuing post secondary education in academic, vocational or trades training.

Vancouver Foundation Challenge:

We have been successful in raising $50,000 in community endowment funds for the 12 month period ending August 2003 to receive a $5,000 grant from the Vancouver Foundation to fund local capacity building projects. This challenge will once again be issued for the period October 1, 2003 to September 30, 2004.
