The volunteer spirit is alive in Revelstoke, but as happens in many communities it is afflicted by certain problems: an aging core of active volunteers, burn-out, and a lack of information that is easily accessed by new residents. This Website seeks to address those issues.
 

Planning for the campaign began in the spring of 2006 after two local residents realized that the volunteer community needed new blood. They came to the conclusion that simple exposure in the news media would not be enough to resolve some of the issues facing volunteers and the groups they work with. As a result, the Volunteer Revelstoke Committee, was created to discuss the issues and find solutions. This Website is part of that set of solutions.
